John S. Heitzenrater

John S. Heitzenrater of Warminster passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 70. He was the beloved husband of Susanne M. (nee Reed) with whom he had shared over 48 years of marriage. John was born in Doylestown, PA a son of Ruth (nee Achuff) Heitzenrater and the late John V. Heitzenrater.

John was a Staff Sargent USAF serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Budd Company after 30 years and continued to work with Home Depot for over 10 years. John enjoyed reading and was a daily faithful patron of the Warminster Library. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his harvest with the neighbors.

In addition to his wife and mother John is survived by a daughter, Krista Heitzenrater and her significant other Bill Ferry, a son, John Heitzenrater, a grandson, Jack, a Brother Donald and his wife Diane.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, May 5, 2018 after 10:30 a.m. followed by Military Honors at 11:30 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N York Road, Hatboro. Interment in Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery will be held privately. John was an alumni of William Tennent High School Class of 1965.
